New and Old Interests: November Best of the Web

bestI don’t know about you guys, but it suddenly got VERY cold here in Montreal. :-(

(And when I say VERY I mean actually not that cold for a Canadian winter, but still a bit of a shock after such a nice summer.)

Although I’m not happy about the change in temperature, the lack of desire to go outdoors makes it the perfect time to learn some new skills and invest in new projects. So, that is what we have been doing.

Recently, we’ve been rethinking social media and SEO, and this month I have been really drawn to articles that focus on these subjects.

I’ve also taken an interest in articles that show a change in opinion of someone else on a certain subject or just a unique idea that you don’t hear people express very much. On top of that, we also picked out some great articles for all of your authors out there and noticed the amount of prominent subjects that start with the letter “P”. ;-)

I hope you have as much fun learning from these articles as I did and find the time to read all of the ones that appeal to you even if it isn’t as cold where you are.

For Writers and Authors

We know that we have a huge amount of talented writers and authors in our audience. So, we have picked out a few articles from around the web that are perfectly suited for you.

Warming Up to Social Media

Social Media has never been very high on our priority list; but after participating in a twitter workshop this month we are starting to see the potential. Here are some articles that got us thinking more about the subject.

Traffic and Conversions

Traffic and conversions on the other hand is something we have always found important. But ever since starting to do SEO, we have started to become even more involved and interested in them. Here are some articles that we thought really hit the mark on these topics.

Some new Ps to Focus On: Psychology, Productivity, Power, Personal, Proof, Persuasion, Pricing… and Pie!

I’m sure most of you have heard of the four Ps of marketing. This month, there seemed to be a lot of great articles that focused on some other important Ps of business (and ok, pricing was already one of the 4 Ps).

Interesting and Unconventional Opinions

I always love a good article with an unconventional or innovative point of view. Here are some of the best ones I found this month.

Other Necessary Reads

Like always, there were some articles that fell outside of some of the categories this month. But they are so great that I had to show them to you anyway.

Kind Mentions:

Thanks to everyone who mentioned me in an article this month. I am always so appreciative and flattered by the things you guys say about me.

As always, if you think we’ve missed anything truly awesome out there on the web, be sure to say so in the comments!

    Thank you Danny,

I know what I will be reading this weekend.

I have just finished writing my book, “The Artist’s Manifesto.” These articles will really make a difference is how I approach my marketing.
Thank you for sharing them. And, hello to Canada! I am a Canadian living in Pennsylvania.

    Thanks for this great list!

I love reading articles from a psychology point-of-view. I don’t think business owners think too much about the psychology of business, e.g., color schemes and copy.

Great post, Thanks Danny. I hope I will manage to get into this roundup. I also run my own on my blog and so far, it produced lot of fun and happiness for me.
