Introducing… Megan Dougherty
Firepole Marketing Associate
Megan Dougherty joined Firepole Marketing in the spring of 2010 (that’s right, before it really existed) as Danny Iny’s personal assistant. Since then, thanks in part to going through our marketing training program (repeatedly), Megan has been able to start getting involved with creating some of the content that you know and enjoy – videos, writing, editing, research and other behind-the-scenes tasks.
With a certificate in Multi-Media Techniques from LaSalle College; achieved after 4 years of alternating Business and Liberal Arts programs, Megan isn’t at all bitter about her student loan debt. Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Megan moved to Montreal in 2006, working a series of terrible jobs (and some totally rad ones) until she met Danny, and, after the most thorough interview of all time (seriously – it would have been easier to get hired for the Secret Service) joined the team here at Firepole. In marketing, especially for small business, the perfect balance between business and creativity has been struck.
Megan also occasionally writes on local business matters for ForgetTheBox.net, a Montreal independent media collective, and helps the entry-level exploit the awesome power of BS at Hire-Me-Dammit.com. Other activities include cooking, board games and disaster movies.
